Mission statement

SaveDarfurWashingtonState (SDWS) is a Washington state not-for-profit organization whose members came together in April 2005 through their commitment to an immediate end to the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan.

Our objectives include educating people in our state about the ongoing genocide, providing humanitarian aid to the people of Darfur, and above all prompting the United States government to take all necessary and proper actions to prevent further genocide in Darfur.

The members of SDWS come from diverse faith, humanitarian, and educational groups. Twenty organizations with compatible objectives regarding the issue of Darfur have allied with SDWS.
